Alamos Malbec organic is an authentic Argentine wine, comes from high altitude vineyards in the region of Mendoza. The region is blessed with a climate that is very beneficial for the production of organic wines. Because of the scarcity of rains and the majority of sunny days, diseases in the vineyards are very low compared to other regions in the world.
The wine blends the deeply concentrated plum flavors of the country’s signature variety–Malbec–with small portions of Syrah and Bonarda to add dark cherry and blackberry flavors. Well-integrated hints of brown spice and vanilla contribute layers of complexity. A full structure, firm tannins and a long finish create an expansive palate that is hard to forget. With crisp, clean air and intense sunlight, growing conditions in Mendoza are truly ideal for Argentinian Malbec. That’s why it’s no wonder that Alamos Malbec 2019 has received a Silver Award in International Organic Awards 2020.
Alamos has started exporting Alamos Malbec Organic in 2015. Their plan is to add two companions to the Malbec in the portfolio: Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. At the same time, they have plans to introduce their Alamos Organic in a few more markets, like Asian and European markets, that are known for valuing wines coming from organically grown grapes. They also plan to increase importantly the vineyard surface cultivated under organic certification. Now, Alamos is currently exporting to selected markets: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Belgium.
