Every bottle of Alamos Malbec captures the story of the adventurous spirit of Argentina’s high-altitude wine growing. For more than a century, the Catena family has pioneered and crafted some of the world’s most exciting high-altitude vineyards.
Alamos Argentinian Malbec wine blends the deeply concentrated plum flavors of the country’s signature variety–Malbec–with small portions of Syrah and Bonarda to add dark cherry and blackberry flavors with a velvety mouthfeel. Well-integrated hints of brown spice and vanilla contribute layers of complexity. A full structure, firm tannins, and a long finish create an expansive palate that is hard to forget. With crisp, clean air and intense sunlight, growing conditions in Mendoza are truly ideal for Argentinian Malbec.
It’s no wonder that Alamos Winery has received a Gold Award in the International Organic Awards 2021 for their Alamos Organic Malbec 2020, awarded by Organic Newspaper.
Alamos Organic Malbec 2020
This complex red wine pairs beautifully with a wide range of cuisine and is recognized for its pronounced fresh style.
Alamos Winery started exporting their Alamos Organic Malbec in 2015. Their plan is to add two companions to the Malbec in its portfolio: Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. They also have plans to introduce their Alamos Organic Malbec in a few more markets, like some Asian and European markets, that are known for valuing wines coming from organically grown grapes. They also have a plan to increase the vineyard surface cultivated under organic certification. Currently, they export to selected markets like the USA, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Belgium.
