Bodegas Cañaveras is located south of Castilla La Mancha in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Mudela. Quality, design, and tradition are the keys in their philosophy.
What’s special about their grapevines is the soil where their wines are originated. A terrain that produces a wine with individual flavours and colours, smooth as a consequence of the extreme weather with winter snowfalls and dry and hot summers. The fertility of their grapevines is due to the weather conditions of the area and its age.
Their wines are free from chemical waste because the fourth generation of their family is really concerned about the environment, so all the processes, products, and other things that can affect it in a bad way are out of their policy.
Bodegas Cañaveras has recently joined International Organic Awards 2020 and has received a Gold Award for their LAURANA 50% TEMPRANILLO CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2016 ORGANIC.

Nowadays, ecological, organic, or biological wine is a wine obtained from grapes which have been ecologically grown, using agricultural techniques based on the European rule 2092/91. This makes them pick up first-class grapes, using natural resources at their best, allowing the soil to regenerate itself, not using fertilizers, insecticides, or other pest control substances. Therefore, Bodegas Cañaveras’ wines are pure, healthy, and of great quality.

Do you already export worldwide? If yes, where? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for?
We export but not do the whole world. We are looking for distributors with whom we have a close deal to do a complete job. We carry out a lot of commercial support which is very important.
What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors?
130 years of experience where the fifth generation currently works, always betting on sustainable cultivation. For us, the world of wine is a way of life transmitted from parents to children, it’s culture, sacrifice and emotions.
When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years?
We started exporting 25 years ago and our development plan for the next few years is to open a market in the EE.UU.
