Celler de Capçanes was founded by a few families back in 1933. It is located at the southern part of Priorat where the lands and people have a long history of winemaking and so proud that they are bottling it nowadays. They have realized that their resources weren’t enough and so they decided to grow even further and adjusted to the market change. They have managed to convince 80 different people from their village to invest in the winery and started making kosher wine, under Mevushal method, that happened to be a huge success.
From the farmers working the vineyards to the staff at the cellar and the winemaker, Anna Rovira, they make possible the magic of the wines, without forgetting the dedication and passion that all of them put into what they do.
Their wines personality and character comes defined by the variety of soils that they have in Capçanes. From the freshness of their limestone to the fruit of their clay, going through the mineral slate and without forgetting the vigorous deserts of the sandy parcels; vines are found in a wide arrange of soils and slopes that provide complexity and depth to their wines.
