Celler de Capçanes vineyards are protected by the Sierra de Llaberia. In mineral and stony soils of slate, limestone, and clay, their vineyards produce a high concentration and intensity giving a unique profile to their wines.
Anna Rovira, the winemaker of Celler de Capçanes, studied enology in Tarragona and later on in Burgundy, where she gained the necessary knowledge to ferment the highest quality of wines. Anna always does her best to produce good quality wines and give her all so she can have the best wine from the raw materials they have. For her, having the first quality materials such as the tools and grapes is essential, but also with the knowledge of what wine to make and not get lost in the way. She was chosen “The Female Winemaker of the Year 2020” by the German magazine Selection.
Just this year, Celler de Capçanes has joined their Mas Tortó 2018 in the International Organic Awards 2021, awarded by Organic Newspaper.
