Weingut Hareter Thomas is a winery located in Weiden am See, Austria. They grow unadulterated grapes in a healthy and balanced environment. No herbicides, no pesticides, no mineral fertilizers, no bare soil but an interaction of herbs and weed, early recognition and averting of disease, use of organic matter to strengthen the vines and to preserve the diversity of life in the vineyard.
Just this year, Weingut Hareter Thomas has joined International Organic Awards 2020 and has received a Gold Medal for Chronos 2018.
Chronos 2018 smells of fully ripe blackberries, some mint, a very deep and juicy fruit. On the palate, the organic cuvée is full and yet fine; Chronos tastes of cherries and berries has a lot of pressure and structure, looks lively and juicy.
It is harvested by hand in September 2017, fermentation on the mash in a tub for 21 days, mash circulation by hand, malolactic fermentation and 24 months ageing in big wooden barrels, minimal sulfur was added.
