El Olivista is an eco-sustainable social project which is composed of more than 50 farmers united by their respect for their landscape and their old olive trees. It is a project of the Cooperativa Agricola de Planes (Montaña de Alicante), makes oil with olives from its own fields, cared in a pleasant Mediterranean mountain climate.
El Olivista joined the International Organic Awards 2021 and was awarded 2 Gold Medals by Organic Newspaper for the products below:
According to David Carbonell, sales manager of El Olivista, the company has been producing olive oil since 1960 and launched its own packed product line 4 years ago. During those years, they have been selling in the local market to distinguished clients such as Carrefour, Auchan, etc. Now, they are beginning to export sales plan, focused in the UK, France, Benelux, and the USA.
