Bodegas El Progreso is the oldest Wine Cooperative in Spain with uninterrupted activity since it started. Since it was founded in 1917, it has never stopped working and making top quality wines and olive oils. After almost a century of hard work, a lot of things have changed for the better, to achieve one of the most modern and prosperous industries in the country, but there is something that has been maintained through the years: the passion for the land and its fruits, for our people, and work well done, inheritance from our ancestors.
El Progreso currently has facilities renovated a few years ago, in order to provide a maximum guarantee of quality products. The exquisite care that their oenologists put into their daily work, with the best machinery, makes the process of making their wines under surveillance and care at every step, with the sole purpose of continuing a work that, for almost 100 years, arouses admiration in those who enjoy it.
The ageing of their most selected red wines is made in American and Frenc oak barrels in heated warehouses, where the wines are aged under the best conditions of temperature and humidity, to guarantee optimum maturation.
Just this recently, El Progreso has joined International Organic Awards 2020 and has received 2 Gold Awards for their MEDIANILES TINTO ROBLE TEMPRANILLO 2017 and TIERRA DE MONTAÑA VERDEJO ECO 2019, awarded by Organic-Newspaper.com.
