Pure Helles: Great Gluten-Free Beer

Purity Brewing Co in Organic Newspaper

Paul Halsey and James Minkin established Purity Brewing Co in 2005, with a simple mission, ‘brewing great beer without prejudice, with a conscience and with a consistency and attention to detail, which is second to none. Purity produced successful products such as Pure Gold and Pure UBU, Mad Goose, and Saddle Black with the help of some people who joined the company. Because of the growing sales and awareness of the brand, a new brewery facility is designed and then built to keep up with the market demands.

Purity continues to expand and embeds itself into music and arts events. They pledged an exciting and unique partnership with Wasps Rugby & the Ricoh Arena as official cask ale partner. They have also joined Coventry Rugby family of partners as official cask beer.

In 2018, Purity released their first-ever gluten-free beer, the Pure Helles. Helles is a traditional German pale lager beer, produced chiefly in Southern Germany, particularly Munich and Bavaria. The German word hell can be translated as “bright”, “light” or “pale”. They are characterised by their underlying malt sweetness, easy to drink and sublime refinement and refreshment.

Just this year, Purity Brewing Co. has joined Pure Helles in International Organic Awards 2020 and has received a Gold Award.

Pure Helles is made entirely from organic ingredients. Purity has used the finest English Maris Otter malt, Pilgrim hops from Worcestershire and a blend of classic noble hops of the highest quality from Bavaria that give Pure Helles a clean, refreshing and bright appearance but with unmistakable Purity character.
